William Andrew Tims, Jr., of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Johnsonburg, NJ, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, at the Ben Atchley Veterans Home in Knoxville, TN.

William was born in Newton to the late William Andrew and Mary Louise (Sontgen) Tims. He was raised in Johnsonburg and lived there until he was discharged from the United States Navy where he served during the Vietnam era. William then relocated to Virginia and beginning driving trucks for Ward Trucking Corporation in Winchester. He lived in Virginia for many years and moved to Tennessee 2 years ago to be closer to his family.

William is survived by his daughters, Jolisse Schuler and Kendra Hawkins and spouse, Shane; his grandchildren, Sarah and Brianna Tallent, and Dylan and Devan Hawkins; his great-granddaughter, Myra Hawkins; and his cousin, Fred Ramsey.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 7, 2020 in Tranquility Cemetery, 19 Maple Lane Rd #17, Green Twp.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to a Parkinson’s Disease Research Foundation of your choice.
