Obituary

Lorraine Susan (nee Dean) Nyerges “Susie”, 72, of Sparta, formerly Livingston, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Newton Medical Center.

Susie was the beloved wife of Jeno Nyerges Jr.; cherished mother of Amy Andreola and husband, David, Jill Mincolelli and husband, Michael, and Jon and wife, Akemi; and adored Mimi of nine grandchildren, Kelly, Dean, Lucas, Nico, Nina, Maya, Kayla, Guiliana, and Josselyn. She is also survived by her sister, Marilynn Hilpert; three brothers, Richard, Douglas, and Fredrick Dean; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Susie was born and raised in the Bronx to the late Fredrick and Florence (nee Collins) Dean. She was a graduate of Bellevue School of Nursing and worked for the Albert Einstein Hospital in the Bronx, then the North Jersey Blood Bank until her retirement in 1999. Susie was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church in Sparta.

Susie loved every moment of time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren; her heart lit up every time she saw them. She loved her beautiful view of the lake with Jeno, her guardian angel, who was with her every step of the way and always made sure she was taken care of; he never left her side.

She will be sorely missed by her entire family and her spirit will always be with them.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church, 294 S. Sparta Ave, Sparta, followed by burial in Newton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton.
