Obituary

Frederick “Fred” J. Rademacher, Jr., 85, of Milford, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Newton Medical Center in Newton, New Jersey.

Born in Rockville Center, Long Island, New York, Fred lived in Brentwood, Long Island, before moving to Milford in 1997. He was a United States Navy veteran, proudly serving during the Korean Conflict. Fred had a BA in Engineering and was an Engineer at Northrop Grumman in Beth Page, New York, before his retirement. A member of Milford Bible Church, he was also a member of the Northrop Grumman Retiree Club, as well as the Submarine Veterans of Pennsylvania and American Legion Post 139 of Milford. He enjoyed fishing on Long Island and also enjoyed carpentry.

The son of the late Frederick J. and Bertha (Katz) Rademacher, Fred was predeceased by his first wife, Carol Rademacher in 1983, and his son, Richard Rademacher in 2001. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Alberta Rademacher; his children, Linda Richards of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Steven Rademacher of North Babylon, New York; Alberta’s children, Debra Stottmann of New York, New York, and Steven Lycopolus of California; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 12 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at the Milford Bible Church, 110 Foxcroft Drive in Milford, followed by a 12 noon funeral service, also at the church. Entombment will follow in Newton Cemetery Mausoleum, Newton, New Jersey.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, New Jersey.
